It is specifically not a sales pitch (no solicitation is allowed) but designed to deliver valuable information by the Affiliate.

Breakfast is also sponsored by the Affiliate presenter or another Affiliate.

Helping Our Heroes™ (www.helpingourheroes.org)

Helping Our Heroes was founded in 2004 by the REALTOR® Association of NorthWest Chicagoland's Affiliate Committee, now governed under the RANWC Charitable Foundation.

It was formed to assist Illinois Guardsmen, Reservists, Police and Firefighters. The Foundation helps these families in need of home related expenses—such as mortgage and rent payments, home repairs, utilities, etc.

We have helped several Military Families avoid eviction or foreclosure. As of February, 2008, we have helped 29 families.

The Foundation has also sent over 300 care boxes to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. The RANWC Charitable Foundation benefits Helping Our Heroes, is an Illinois 501c3 foundation, and is a 100% Volunteer Organization.

All donations and net proceeds raised go to help a family in need—not a single salary is paid through the Foundation. Administrative services are donated by RANWC.

In addition to our main fundraiser—the Annual Golf Outing we also sell shirts, pins, sweatshires and have a clothing recycling program helping raise funds for Heroes in need.

Affiliate Newsletter

The Affiliate Newsletter is sent quarterly via email to All RANWC REALTOR® members. The newsletter includes informative Affiliate-written articles helpful to the REALTOR® members. Each newsletter includes the Affiliate's Name, Company, and contact information.

Two newsletter features are: 1) the Affiliate Spotlight and 2) the informative article link that offers Affiliates an opportunity to have their company's products or services highlighted.

The Affiliate spotlight focuses on one company and a topic of their selection that would relate to and benefit the REALTOR® audience.

A third opportunity connects to the Success Series Program—whoever presents the topic for that month will have that information included in the Affiliate Newsletter.

Speed Networking

This meeting provides attendees a way to describe their service with the Affiliate's undivided attention. The speed networking meeting typically gives a presenter a minute or so to describe the key advantages of their business to other attendees without interruption or questions.

A great way to let all know who you are, what your company does, and what product/service your company provides.

Affiliate/REALTOR® Nite Out

The RANWC Nite out is an event that the Affiliates put together quarterly to have the REALTORS® and Affiliates socialize, build relationships, get to know each other better, and network.

It's an opportunity to work with the other Affiliates.

This event is sponsored by the Affiliates through their donations and a small fee is collected at the door from attendees to cover some costs. Any surplus of monies are donated to the RANWC Charitable Foundation's Helping Our Heroes.

Affiliate/Vendor Open House Showcase

This is our premiere signature event. It began in 1997, is held in September, and is held outdoors under huge tents in the RANWC Arlington Heights parking lot.

There are vendor tables displaying the vendor's products and services. In addition, on site and for free, there are refreshments—BBQ of Vienna Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, wine, beer, soft drinks, and live musical/vocal entertainment.

A well-attended event drawing over 400 members annually that provides excellent visibility to the Affiliates and an information-rich event for our REALTORS®.
